Take me back to the sixties
Sunday, May 29, 2011 2:09 AMHad a lunch date with Stanley and he decided to bring me to somewhere else rather than our typical routine (settling our meal at any F&B outlet available in the shopping mall).
Stanley decided to settle at The Food Trail located at Singapore Flyers

The design concept was based on the sixties. I could see huge sum of investment placed in this project. There are details which give the relistic 1960 atmosphere. There was a store that sell all the antique stuffs like telephone, irons, clock etc. and also another sixities store that sell the candies.

I felt that it is a good investment. Tourists who are here for a short trip can get most of the popular food here.

No pictures of me :( because Stanley was too hungry to take a photo of me.
Anyway I ordered Satay Bee Hoon which taste so much better than Stanley's plate of Hokkien Mee.
Well, so not all the food are delicious there. Hmm but they are meant for tourists so they wouldn't know the actual taste. So.. It is okay. Hahaha

I think the store that suited the theme (sixities) most was the drink store! The coke and soya milk are sold in glass bottle!!
and also they have this ICE KACHANG BALL! My mum used to tell me this, I can't believe that I actually ate it for my generation. The only different is that the ice kachang ball was placed on top of a plastic bag and then into a bowl.
My mum told me she used to hold it with bare hands! Cold ~~ How to enjoy?

With all the toppings inside.
Well overall I think this place is overpriced but I understand that they have to pay the high rental!
Not a bad place to have your meals.
:D
